On 4th July 2014 Masons Chemist officially unveiled their Robot to the public. At the grand opening the Honorable Andrew Bridgen MP for North West Leicestershire cut the ribbon in the presence of the owners Colin and Guy Mason and the rest of the Pharmacy team.
The Robot affectionately known as Flobot to the team is a Robotik Technology AP 336 and was installed in late 2013. It’s target is to support the team in providing automated dispensing services through pouches to over 400 people across the Masons Chemists branches.
Jane Lumb, Director and Superintendent Pharmacist at Masons Chemist, presented the robot to Andrew and explained its value to the community and why Masons had invested in this technology.
“This is our official opening today but we have been using the robot with existing customers already”, says Jane, “Feedback has been very positive and we know this will improve the quality of life for our customers struggling to manage their medicines today”
